We currently have a 1 year old fawn male looking for a forever home.  He is very good natured.  He is great with kids and other dogs.  He is out of very sound genetics.  This male is not a rescue but a re-homing.  He is out of Montana's Kool Kane.  He has no baggage.  There is nothing unknown about this boys past.  He has current vet records and has always been well cared for.  If you are looking for a Dane to be part of your family send me an email.  This guy will do well in any family setting and will become a cherished family member in no time.

We spend a lot of time matching dogs to the ideal family.  We DO NOT charge an adoption fee for our rescue dogs but it is a long process.  We like to make sure every dog is ready to be a loved and productive family member.  It takes a lot of time and visiting to make sure dogs and families are compatible.

If you are thinking about adopting please keep in mind that not every dog is suitable for every family.  You can't do an adoption based on looks.  We base our adoptions on family dynamics and each dogs personality.  If you have a specific dog in mind and are interested in adopting, please don't be offended by the personal questions we will ask about you and your family.  Please don't be offended if you call wanting a specific dog and after being interviewed we decide that dog isn't the best for your family.  We base decisions on what is in the best interest of your family and the dogs individual needs.

****  All adopted Danes have to be spayed or neutered before going to their new homes.  There are no exceptions to the spay/neuter policy.  They may be beautiful or well trained but they are not breeding dogs.  It takes years of research and training to have a good breeding dog.  Even with all that done some still won't be breeding dogs.  Just because a dog is pure bred doesn't mean it should be bred.  My goal as a breeder is to produce a superior Great Dane not just a Great Dane.

I understand that having a pure breed dog has become an unpopular idea due to the growing numbers of mixed breed animals in shelters.  I am a firm supporter of shelter adoptions and mixed breed dogs.  Not every dog living on our farm is a pure breed.  We have dogs here that are from the last cruelty case we did.  We have dogs that have been abandoned here and we have pure breed dogs that have been spayed or neutered their entire life.

As a breeder I feel a strong obligation to help place unwanted dogs into loving homes.  We currently have a Dachshund that was found in a trash dumpster.  All 13lbs of him was left in a trash dumpster in 99 degree heat.  Although he is not a Dane he IS a dog in need.  Breeding one breed does not mean you are not a dog lover.  It does not mean you lack compassion for every other breed that isn't your breed.

Benjamin was taken to the vet right away.  He is heart worm positive and needing a little weight.  Overall he wasn't to bad off.  He will not be listed for adoption.  He has been part of the family from the minute he got here.  He is our honarary Dane.  Just a short legged one.  He loves the Danes and has no idea he isn't as big as they are.  He has become a wonderful companion to my daughter and will be receiving heart worm treatment.

It is a shame to see disregard for life.  If you buy from a breeder or adopt from a shelter please take time to consider the responsibility of pet ownership.  People's lives change.  Babies are born and divorces happen.  There is almost always a way to keep your pet and if there isn't hopefully you are able to find a responsible rescue that is able to help your family in hard times.

The cost of pet ownership is repaid with a life time of loyal companionship.  Remember your dog loves you unconditionally.  Remember when he has an accident or chews your shoe that you are the center of his universe.  Ask yourself why?  Was he not given access to go potty?  Are there issues with anxiety causing him to chew?  For every problem there is usually a simple answer.

We recommend if you are having behavioral problems with your dog to contact your vet to find out what trainers they recommend and rule out any health issues.  We highly recommend Dr. Wright at 71st Animal Hospital in Fayetteville (910) 487 5070.  I have always found Dr. Wright to be a compassionate and caring vet.  She has handled my Danes and has knowledge of giant breeds.  Before you give up please take time to consider all of your options.

If you are having behavioral problems, regardless of breed, and you are unable to find a trainer in your area you are welcome to contact us and we will do our best to assist you in finding one in your area.

The pictures on this page are currently dogs that have found families.  If we have dogs that are adoptable they will be listed as adoptable.

A dogs life is a full time job.  It is hard to be loyal and faithful all the time.  Thankfully, I am blessed with the ability to love everything and everyone.  I don't know how to hate or judge.  My love is unconditional and my loyalty is life long.  I will forgive even those that left me to die.  I will be selflessly dedicated myself to an 8 year old girl that can see my wings and know me for they angel am.                                               --------Benjamin
